Two health centers in Moldova received grants for medical equipment

Chisinau, June 7 / MOLDPRES /- Two health centers in the country have received grants from the Government of Japan for the purchase of medical equipment. The financing contracts have a total value of about 74 thousand dollars, money offered through the Kusanone Human Security Grant Program.
According to the Ministry of Health, the Leova Health Center received a grant of over $ 53,000 for the purchase of an ultrasound, and the Bardar Health Center - a grant of over $ 20,000 for the purchase of physiotherapy equipment.
"The Government of Japan is one of the most loyal partners of the Government of the Republic of Moldova. I am glad that thanks to this support we can bring quality medical services closer to the citizens", Minister of Health Ala Nemerenco said.
"The donation comes to expand cooperation in the field of health and to strengthen the capacities of primary health care institutions. I am confident that the new equipment will be used effectively for the benefit of all citizens. I would like to express my conviction that the launched projects are another proof of our strong friendship and that this partnership will continue with other successful projects ", Ambassador of Japan to Moldova Katayama Yoshihiro said.
The health system of the Republic of Moldova benefits from non-reimbursable financial assistance under the Kusanone Program from 2008.
