Yellow Code of fire extended in Moldova

Chisinau, 7 June /MOLDPRES/ - The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has extended the Yellow Code of exceptional fire danger till 10 June inclusively.  

According to meteorologists, till this date, the exceptional danger of fire (class 5) with natural character and the threat of fire of forest belts and agricultural crops will be maintained in Moldova. 

For their part, rescuers and silviculturists warn about the danger for farmlands, fodder warehouses, areas of forestry vegetation, dwellings and household annexes to catch fire.  

The concerned service ask residents to avoid using open fire nearby dwellings, household annexes and fodder warehouses, on fields covered with dry vegetation, especially when they are placed nearby forests, plantations or objects with high risk of fire. At the same time, decision-makers recommend the restricting of the carrying out of works, which create friendly conditions for fires through the emissions of volatile substances or overheating.       

According to SHS, on the next days, comfortable air temperatures are forecast in Moldova up to +29 Celsius degrees, variable cloud, without precipitation. Starting from 10 June, thunderstorm rains are expected all over Moldova.
