Moldovan parliament to hold plenary meeting on 9 June

Chisinau, 8 June /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament will hold a plenary meeting on 9 June. The standing bureau completed the meeting’s agenda will proposals received from standing commissions.   

The MPs will ratify the memorandum of understanding with the World Food Programme and the agreement on financing with the International Development Association (IDA), in order to carry out the Security of supply with water and sanitation in Moldova project. The agenda also includes the ratification of an agreement on grant with the Council of Europe Development Bank for the carrying out of technical assistance, Preparatory activities related to project on social dwellings, and the agreement on grand with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development within the Moldova Agriculture Competitiveness Project.     

The agenda of the 9 June plenary meeting also comprises a legislative initiative, which provides for the doubling of the scholarships for performance sportspeople and a proposal to cut the consular taxes for the Moldovans from abroad.  At the same time, the lawmakers will consider the amendment of the law on the non-bank crediting organizations.   

The MPs will approve, in the final reading, amendments to the normative framework related to the Administrative Code, a draft law on the regulation and control of genetically modified organisms, as well as a draft law on the work, in safety conditions, of potentially dangerous production objects and technical installations. The parliament will also adopt a draft on the amendment of the law on philanthropy and sponsorship.
