National Blood Transfusion Center to be equipped with medical devices of 9.3 million lei

Chisinau, June 10 / MOLDPRES /- The National Blood Transfusion Center will be equipped with medical devices and consumables worth 9.3 million lei (465 thousand euros), money provided by the Swiss Red Cross.

According to the Ministry of Health, the grant was awarded through the project Humanitarian Response for Refugees from Ukraine to Moldova, funded by the Swiss Red Cross. To this end, a grant agreement has been concluded between the Ministry of Health, the National Blood Transfusion Center and the Swiss Red Cross.

Thanks to the financial support, consumables will be purchased for blood collection, testing and production of blood components. The National Blood Transfusion Center will be equipped with medical devices, such as cold rooms and refrigerated boxes, to expand the storage capacity of blood products and ensure the necessary conditions for their transportation.
