Chisinau, 15 June /MOLDPRES/ - The parliamentary commission for public administration today ruled to approve a draft law which provides for the adoption of a Town Planning Code.
Under the document, the Code, which is still under elaboration, is to replace more legislative and normative acts in force, as well as to remove the legislative deficiencies which jeopardize the work in the field.
The MPs suggested the working out of transition norms, till the entrance into force of the Town Planning Code, for the issuance of town planning certificates. They found out that the process of elaboration of town plans must be facilitated through the development of a national programme. Also, it is necessary to identify resources for covering the expenses for the working out of the town planning documentation and space planning on the entire area of Moldova.
According to official information, only 10 per cent of the local public authorities have general town plans. So far, Moldova does not have a national plan on land management, as well as regional plans and in the case of about 90 per cent of the administrative and territorial units, they do not have valid general town plans.
