Works for extension of sewerage networks in Hâncești started

Chisinau, June 24 / MOLDPRES /- In Hâncești, the works for the extension of the sewerage networks have started. A team of specialists from the Regional Development Agency (ADR) Centru undertook yesterday a visit to monitor the work process within the project Regional Water-Canal Systems - Guarantee of Our Health implemented from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL).

„At the construction site in the city of Hâncești, construction works are being carried out for the sewerage networks and manholes. The monitoring team verified the volume and quality of the executed works, as well as the observance of their execution schedule ”, indicates ADR Centru.

The value of the contract is 17,736,239 lei (about 900 thousand euros), the contribution of the project applicant being 10% of its value.

According to the contract, the selected contractor undertakes to carry out the specified works within 24 months. „The planned activities aim to increase the quality of life of the inhabitants of Hâncești. Thus, about 452 new beneficiaries will be connected to the sewerage system ”, according to ADR Centru.

According to the quoted source, the provision of localities with sewerage systems and the regionalization of Water-Canal services is one of the essential points of the Drinking Water Supply Strategy of the Center Region. By implementing the project, socio-economic development will be boosted, a favorable entrepreneurial environment will be created, new jobs will be opened, and accumulations to local and state budgets will increase.
