Young people, migrants from Moldovan capital to benefit from financial support in launching, developing business

Chisinau, June 24 / MOLDPRES /- Young people and migrants from Chisinau will benefit from financial support from local authorities in launching and developing their businesses. Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban presented today, during a press conference, the pilot program STARTUP for YOUNG PEOPLE and MIGRANTS.
Ceban said that the purpose of the program is to stimulate entrepreneurship among young people and migrants in Chisinau by facilitating the launch and development of sustainable businesses and supporting job creation.
"Those who want to set up a business will be able to benefit from a non-reimbursable financial support in a maximum amount of 200 thousand lei (10 thousand euros). At the same time, the young people who own a business and have made an investment from credit resources, will benefit from the compensation of the value of the interest paid for the last 24 months, in a maximum amount of 100 thousand lei ”, said the quoted source.
The beneficiaries of the project will be young, future entrepreneurs, aged between 18-40 years, who have a residence visa in the municipality and want to open a business or own a company registered in the capital for a maximum of 12 months. "The financial contribution of the applicant represents at least 30% of the value of the eligible costs of the investment project", remarked Ion Ceban.
The priority areas of the program are businesses that will carry out production or service activities, which contain innovative activities or aim to implement technology transfer and know-how projects. These are: businesses focused on the development of the information and communication technology industry, electromechanics, agri-food and hospitality industry, light industry, creative industry, tourism, health and beauty, professional, scientific or technical activities, energy efficiency or agriculture.
