Water, sewerage supply project completed in Ungheni with EU help

Chisinau, June 25 / MOLDPRES /- In Ungheni, the construction works of the aqueduct and sewerage network, financed by the European Union, were completed. The members of the reception commission met yesterday at the construction site and found that the project had been carried out in accordance with the rules.
Thus, works were carried out to extend and rehabilitate 19.7 km of water pipes (including 867 connections) and to extend the 7.31 km long gravity drainage sewerage network (including 498 connections to the sewerage network), as well as the pressurized sewerage network with a length of 770 m. Three wastewater pumping stations were also built, with the aim of regionalizing water supply and sewerage services in this region.
"The works performed were inspected on the spot, without major objections being signaled in the process of their execution. The value of the received works is 54,752,332 lei (about 2.75 million euros) ", indicates the Regional Development Agency (ADR) Center.
The project "Improvement of water supply and sewerage services in Ungheni municipality" is funded by the European Union in cooperation with the project "Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova", which is implemented by the Agency for International Cooperation of Germany in partnership with the Ministry Infrastructure and Regional Development and financially supported by the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
