Moldovan Customs Service collects over 684 million lei last week

Chisinau, 27 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Customs Service collected more than 684 million lei (34.2 million euros) to the state budget last week, which is by 20.5 per cent more against the budgetary task set for this time interval.
According to the Customs Service, private people introduced assets to Moldova, the value of which in customs exceed the non-taxable limit and payments worth 17.9 million lei were collected, which accounts for 2.6 per cent of the sum collected for the concerned period.
The money collected from tax payers is transferred directly to the state budget and redistributed for salaries, developing the infrastructure and social projects.
Also, during the last week, 10,541 customs declarations were made and the flow of transport means stood at 86,747 crossings.
As for combating of frauds, on the concerned period, 38 infringements of the customs legislation were found out and fines worth over 95,000 lei were imposed.
Since early 2022, the Customs Service has collected 15 billion lei to the state budget, up by 23.8 per cent against the same period of the year before.
