Moldova's National History Museum participates in 3D scanning of historical sites from Romania

Chisinau, 27 June /MOLDPRES/ - Representatives of Moldova’s National History Museum have participated in a scientific expedition, during which the 3D scanning of historical sides from Romania was carried out.
The scientific exhibition was held on the area of the Tropaeum Traiani Fortress nearby Adamclisi, Constanta county, Romania, nearby Danube and at the border with Bulgaria.
The joint exhibition has a practical emphasis – getting of abilities and experience of work with the newly purchased mobile scanning station for the 3D scanning of historical benchmarks. The process included 3D reconstructions of parts of the archaeological site. At the same time, a documentary was made, which shows the working process in detail.
The exhibition is carried out within the project, BSB 867 – Portal Archaeology, History and Culture of Black Sea, financed within the Joint Operational Programme on Cross-Border Cooperation, within the European Neighbourhood Instrument, Black Se Basin – 2014-2020. The project started on 1 June 2022 and will be carried out during 30 months. The project’s overall value is of 566,400 euros, of which 111,880 euros represents the budget of Moldova’s National History Museum.
