More than 6,000 people call ambulance in Moldova in last 72 hours

Chisinau, 28 June /MOLDPRES/ - The Service of Pre-Hospital Medical Emergency Assistance on 24-26 June registered 6,230 calls, of which 1,101 ones for children. A number of 2,556 patients were carried to emergency departments of hospitals from Moldova, of whom 642 children.
According to the National Centre of Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance (CNAMUP), most calls (1,244) were cardiovascular emergencies, of whom 29 patients were diagnosed with the acute coronary syndrome. Neurological emergencies represented 953 cases, including 100 patients with cerebral vascular accidents. As many as 450 out of the overall number of 821 calls for respiratory emergencies were recorded in children.
Thirty one traffic accidents were registered, in the wake of which 41 people with various injuries needed the providing of emergency medical assistance at the pre-hospital phase. Subsequently, 37 patients were transported to Emergency Reception Units of hospitals.
On the same period, the Emergency Service received 43 calls for emergencies caused by physical, chemical or environmental agents, of whom 8 persons were diagnosed with combustions, 23 people with bites or insect pricks.
