Moldovan president has more bilateral meetings in Athens

Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had more bilateral meetings in Athens.

According to the presidential press service, the head of state met the former Secretary of State of the United States Mike Pompeo, a member of the Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada (parliament) Yulia Timoshenko and a well-known American sociologist and political scientist, Fracis Fukuyama.

During the discussions, the sides tackled topical subjects on the situation in Moldova and our region. The interlocutors also referred to the economic and security challenges faced by the countries neighbouring Ukraine, which has been resisting the Russian military invasion for four months, as well as the measures the community is able to undertake to cease the war and reestablish peace.
