Moldovan president, Greek foreign affairs minister discuss security situation in region

Chisinau, 5 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu and Foreign Affairs Minister of Greece Nikos Dendias today discussed the security developments in the region and in Moldova, at the roundtable on economic issues in Athens, the presidential press service has reported.
The head of state reconfirmed Moldova’s commitment to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, noting that, for the authorities, priority was to ensure the citizens’ security.
The officials discussed also the actions undertaken by Moldova, in order to advance on the European way, after getting the status of country candidate for EU. President Maia Sandu reconfirmed the governance’s determination to carry out the reforms underway and get the country closer to the European living standards. In the context, the head of state thanked the Greek diplomacy for having supported Moldova’s European agenda.
