Moldovan premier says projects meant for children to continue

Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita today paid a visit to the CRAT Resource Centre for Teenagers and Youth from the Balti city. The PM discussed with young people their needs and achievements and highlighted the main projects of the cabinet for the benefit of the young generation, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
„We allocated a sum of money from the state budget, so that each young person can receive a voucher worth 1,000 lei for buying schools supplies, books, go to theatre, museums, to encourage them, to participate in cultural activities. We also started a programme of probation with scholarships for students in public institutions; we have a programme of grants for youth centres; we back young entrepreneurs. We prepare a course of civic education and we will continue the policies for the young families,’’ the prime minister told the young present at the event.
The CRAT Centre provides to young people trainings in the personal development field, as well as courses of public speaking, efficient communication, management of time, developing of abilities in terms of identifying the fit profession. The Centre’s visitors also benefit from financial education, learn to edit projects for financing. Young people are involved in diverse volunteering actions and dozens of community projects have been already carried out through the institution.
About 240 young people, mostly with ages between 14 and 25 years, go the Centre monthly and the institution’s work is ensured by 7 employees. The institution is attended also by members of families of Ukrainian refugees.
The Centre has been recently renovated and made accessible to people with special needs, being endowed with platform, widened doors, service of psycho-pedagogical assistance for children with special education requirements. Another 3.5 million lei is needed for the renovation of an additional bloc, which will allow extending and multiplying the activities.
