Chisinau, 8 July /MOLDPRES/ - The time of waiting for the highly advanced investigations for the people in whom cancer was detected for the first time ever has been shortened from 45 days to 5 days.
According to the National Health Insurance Company (CNAM), this fact is due to the signing by CNAM of additional agreements with more providers of highly advanced medical services for about 2,000 investigations worth more than 4.8 million lei (about 240,000 euros). It is about the carrying out of tomography/computerized tomography and imagistics through magnetic resonance.
According to data unveiled by the providers contracted, 161 highly advanced investigations were carried out in last June, of which 123 computerized topographies and 38 magnetic resonance services.
Presently, the referral for the accessing of these investigations is issued by competent physicians of the consultative diagnosis centre of the Oncological Institute.
