Delegation of Lithuanian MPs to visit Moldova

Chisinau, 9 July /MOLDPRES/ - A delegation of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Lithuanian Seimas (parliament) is on a visit to Moldova on 10-12 July, at an invitation by the head of the parliamentary commission for foreign policy and European integration, Doina Gherman.

The Lithuanian officials will have meetings with Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, the head of the parliamentary commission for foreign policy and European integration, Doina Gherman, and the head of the group of friendship with Lithuania, Ion Babici. The visit’s agenda includes a discussion with President Maia Sandu, representatives of the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry and European Union’s Delegation in Chisinau.

The participants in the discussions will tackle subjects on Moldova’s status of country candidate, the assistance and support which Lithuania can provide to Moldova in the European integration process.

The 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Moldovan-Lithuanian diplomatic relations is marked in 2022.
