Cahul, Ungheni regions of Moldova to benefit from European grants for development

Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - The European Union provides 800,000 euros to eight entities from the Cahul and Ungheni regions, which will back initiatives of clustering (creation of competent groups in various sectors). The deadline for application is 8 August.

The EU4Moldova: Focal Regions programme is set to support and improve businesses in Cahul and Ungheni, to stimulate the existing companies for cooperation based on value chains in form of cluster and to encourage possibilities in investments in the region.

„The financial assistance will be allocated for the purchasing of equipment, assets, works and services. The applications will be able to be submitted till 8 August,’’ the EU Delegation in Chisinau said.

The grants are provided by the European Union, through the aforementioned programme, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme and the United Nations Children’s Fund.
