Moldovan acting prosecutor general to ask stripping MP off parliamentary immunity

Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - Acting Prosecutor General Dumitru Robu today will ask the parliament to lift the parliamentary immunity of an MP of the Shor Party, Marina Tauber.
„I demand the lifting of the parliamentary immunity for the detention, arrest, search and sending to court,’’ reads an application submitted by Robu.
The acting prosecutor general initiated two applications on the lifting of the immunity against lawmaker Marina Tauber, regarded in two criminal files opened on the fact of deliberate acceptance of the Shor Political Party’s financing by an organized criminal group. At the same time, Tauber is suspected of forging the report on the financial management of the Shor Political Party for the first half of the 2022 year, with intention to hide the volume of financial means accumulated and the one of the means used.
At the same time, anticorruption prosecutors today make searches in a criminal file opened for illegal financing of the Shor Political Party. The actions are carried out in more locations.
