Moldova's Border Police to be reorganized, services for record, release of permits - digitized

Chisinau, 22 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Border Police will be reorganized and the services for record and release of permits – digitalized. The government approved a draft decision to this effect today.   

According to the Border Police, the institution’s reorganization is aimed at optimizing the structure of the central apparatus, strengthening the capacities and functionality of the competent structures, as well as at ensuring an efficient management. Decision-makers will also consolidate the capacities of prevention and combating of the cross-border criminality, will increase the potential of management of the border control system and the expenses will be optimized. At the same time, the amendments made to the integrated information system of the Border Police have the goal to provide the citizens with quality electronic services and exclude the need for them to hold permits of access to the border zone, permits of work in the state border crossing points and the ones for boats.        

The digitalization of these services will allow enhancing the degree of citizens’ accessibility to the public services provided by the Border Police and will exclude the need to have permits on them, as border policemen are able to verify their existence and validity online.
