Chisinau, Aug. 3 /MOLDPRES/- Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) will have the opportunity to submit additional requests, until reaching the maximum ceiling of the grant granted through the Program for Increasing the Competitiveness of SMEs and their Internationalization. Previously, only one application was allowed, so the entrepreneur could not benefit from the resources that were not requested up to the ceiling. A decision in this sense was approved today by the Executive, in order to improve the program, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Other provisions refer to the issuance of Business Vouchers by the Organization for the Development of Entrepreneurs (ODA). They provide for the simplification of the procedure for accessing consulting services, having the option to contract a consulting service provider from a predefined list or to access service packages previously formed by the ODA.
Through the Program, SMEs can obtain support within two pillars:
- Training of entrepreneurial skills through the business voucher scheme, for the purchase of business development services;
- Financial support through the "Grant" mechanism for increasing competitiveness, productivity and internationalization of the business.
Within this Program, during the current year, 25 Business vouchers worth 1.8 million lei and 30 grants worth 42.3 million lei were approved. The total value of the investment projects is 92.7 million lei.
For the implementation of the Program, in the state budget, for the year 2022, financial means in the amount of 70 million lei are allocated.
