Moldovan electoral body published list of parties, socio-political organizations that can participate in new local elections

Chisinau, 9 Aug. /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today approved the list of parties and social-political organizations that have the right to participate in the new local elections.
The list published by the CEC includes 55 social-political formations and organizations.
According to the electoral legislation, parties and other officially registered social-political organizations have the right to nominate candidates for the elections until the election date is set.
On October 16, new local elections will be held in three localities in the country: Sălcuța village, Căușeni district, Ialpujeni commune, Cimișlia district and Braniște commune, Râșcani district.
