Petrol, diesel prices to drop on weekend

Chisinau, August 12 /MOLDPRES/- For the next three days, August 13-15, the maximum retail prices of the main standard oil products were set by the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) at the level of: 26.23 lei/liter - for petrol COR 95 (- 0.17lei); 25.73 lei/liter - for standard diesel (- 0.13lei).

The period August 8-14 represents the eighth consecutive week of decline in retail prices for petrol and the seventh for diesel.

"During that period, prices decreased by 7.67 lei/liter or 22.63% for COR 95 petrol and by 6.73 lei/liter or 20.73% for standard diesel," according to ANRE.

The decreases in fuel trading prices are still due to the decrease in Platts quotations for petroleum products registered on international exchanges.
