Several families in Moldovan capital to receive material aid worth 2,000 lei

Chisinau, August 16 /MOLDPRES/- A number of 35 families from the capital will receive material aid worth 2,000 lei. The decision was taken by the municipal Commission for establishing and granting material aid.

Deputy head of the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance Marina Buga said that it is about families with three or four children. "Socially vulnerable families, starting with the first child, and other families with three or more children can also benefit from this help. Beneficiaries of financial support are families with residence visas in the municipality of Chisinau. The money is granted on the basis of an application that contains the copies of the identity cards of both parents and the copies of the children's birth certificates", said Marina Buga.

The official pointed out that requests are reviewed for 20 days. "The set of documents is submitted to the General Directorate of Social Assistance in the capital, within 12 months of the child's birth. The money is allocated from the Chisinau municipality budget," said Marina Buga.

The project was initiated in 2019. In 2020, 613 families benefited from help, and in 2021 – 486. Since the beginning of the current year, 187 families have received financial support from the capital city hall.
