Bee fair to be held in Chisinau

Chisinau, August 18 /MOLDPRES/- The National Association of Beekeepers, in partnership with Buiucani Praetor's Office will organize on August 19-21 the bee fair that will take place in the square of the Metropolitan Cathedral in the center of the capital.

The fair is held annually and around five thousand visitors are expected, who will have the opportunity to purchase beekeeping products in assortment. It is organized with the aim of supporting local producers, promoting local products that are healthy and beneficial for the human body, as well as familiarizing consumers with a wide range of products from farmers in the Republic of Moldova.

According to Ion Maxim, executive director of the National Association of Beekeepers of the Republic of Moldova, during the event the beekeepers will present fruit from the current year, as well as derived products in the assortment. "It is interesting that this year the acacia honey has a light greenish color and a special taste, which denotes the quality and natural purity of the product," said Maxim.

Currently, in the Republic of Moldova, there are over seven thousand officially registered beekeepers and about 255 thousand bee families.
