Moldovan parliament to convene in extraordinary session

Chisinau, August 25 /MOLDPRES/- Parliament will convene in extraordinary session on 26 August - 8 September 2022. Standing bureau adopted the decision today, following a request of Speaker Igor Grosu, in line with the Parliament's Regulations.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations, the initiative to convene the extraordinary session is motivated by the need to consider and adopt as a matter of priority legislative measures to support the population, public institutions and economic agents in the context of the energy crisis and refugees.

Thus, the draft agenda of meetings for 26 August - 8 September 2022, approved by the standing bureau, includes the draft amendments to the state budget law, the state social insurance budget law and the law on mandatory health insurance funds for 2022.

On 26 August, MPs will meet in session starting at 12:00.
