Over 700 young people took military oath

Chisinau, August 26 /MOLDPRES/- Over 700 soldiers, incorporated this July in the National Army took the military oath today in ceremonies held in Bălţi, Cahul and at the training ground in Bulboaca (Anenii Noi). Among them are the young people admitted to study in the Alexandru cel Bun Military Academy in Chisinau.

Attending the event, Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatîi congratulated the soldiers and military students on taking the oath. "We appreciate the accomplishments of the soldiers and students during initial training. At the same time, we thank the relatives for their support and trust," he said.

Also, the servicemen incorporated in the Motorized Infantry Brigade Moldova from Balti municipality swore allegiance to the Motherland in the presence of the commander of the National Army, Brigadier General Eduard Ohladciuc. Also today, about 200 young people took the military oath in the Dacia Motorized Infantry Brigade from Cahul.

After the ceremony, soldiers and military students will go on a six-day leave, after which they will return to units and classrooms.

The term military service lasts 12 months.
