Chisinau, August 29 /MOLDPRES/- By March 2023, a Moldovan-Slovakian project will be carried out in Rezina to improve the quality of life of the city's residents by ensuring access to the sewage system.
It is about the construction of a part of the sewage system in the locality with a total length of 3390 m. It will be possible to connect 7.4% of the city's population to the sewage system, which represents 225 households or about 900 people. Currently, in Rezina, access to the sewage system is provided for 61% of the population, which is not enough for the urban area.
A project monitoring visit was paid last week to Rezina with the participation of the representatives of the Regional Development Agency (ADR) Senec-Pezinok (Slovakia), the Center Regional Development Agency, the Rezina City Hall, as well as the technical operator carrying out the works infrastructure.
The technical expert from Slovakia will come up with proposals to improve the non-conformities, so that they will be fixed in a short time. At the same time, it was proposed that the local operator inform each household about the need to connect to the constructed sewage system and the sanctions provided to prevent clandestine connections to the network. Also, the management of ADR Senec-Pezinok assured that all works will be paid under the estimates presented by the economic operator and in accordance with the needs arising in the field.
The project is estimated at over 218 thousand euros, of which the Government of Slovakia comes with over 198 thousand euros, and the Senec-Pezinok Regional Development Agency will cover the co-financing of the project with about 20 thousand euros.
