Law on mandatory health care insurance funds for 2022 amended

Chisinau, 8 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Parliament at extraordinary session approved today in the second reading amendments to the Law on mandatory healthcare insurance funds (FAOAM) for 2022. The parliamentary opposition boycotted the plenary meeting.

The revenues of the mandatory health care insurance funds are expected to amount to 12.559 billion lei, up by 186 million lei than the approved plan. At the same time, the volume of FAOAM expenses for 2022 was increased by 215 million lei and will amount to 12.833 billion lei.

AOAM funds will have a deficit of 274 million lei, up by 29 million lei than the approved plan and will be covered from the balance of financial means at the beginning of the year.

The parliament convened in extraordinary meeting on 26 August -8 September.
