Romania offered 500 authorizations for transport of people to Moldova

Chisinau, 8 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency of Road Transport (ANTA) announced today that it received 500 authorizations for transport of people, through non-liberalized occasional services in transit on the territory of Romania.
"Following the cooperation between the parties and the decisions of the 16-17 June meeting of the Moldovan-Romanian joint commission on passenger transport, Romania has sent 500 authorizations for Moldovan transport operators to perform non-liberalized occasional services", the institution said.
The ANTA warns road transport operators about the mandatory use starting from 12 September 2022 of authorizations for carrying out the transport of people, through non-liberalized occasional services in transit on the territory of Romania.
The transport operators, who have benefited from the procedure of informing the Romanian authorities from the border and control points when carrying out the transport of persons based on the commuter authorizations of the Republic of Bulgaria, are also going to request authorizations for the execution of occasional non-liberalized services in transit on the territory Romania, according to the cited source.
According to ANTA, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Romania announced the cancellation of the authorization previously granted to transport operators, based on the Agency's requests on 12 September.
