Moldovan state to provide monthly allowance of 1,000 lei to all children up to age of two years

Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/ - The parliament today voted in the first reading a draft which regulates the allowances worth 1,000 lei for all children up to the age of two years.

Thus, in the case of the non-insured people, who presently benefit from allowance for taking care of children up to the age of two years, in a quantum of 760 lei monthly for each child, this allowance will increase, respectively, by 260 lei. And the insured people, who presently benefit from allowance in quantum of 30 per cent of the calculation basis set under the law on allowances for temporary incapacity for work and other social insurances payments, will receive 1,000 lei monthly additionally.  

The draft also contains regulations on the payment of benefits for ensuring the bringing up and taking care of children placed in services of guardianship/trusteeship, professional parental assistance and family-type children’s home. Also, starting from 1 October this year, the monthly allowance of support for the bringing up of twin children or more children born at one pregnancy till the age of three years will be increased to 500 lei.
