Incidents at post of Joint Peacekeeping Forces brought in focus of Joint Control Commission

Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/ - A new working meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) was held in Bender today, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The Joint Military Command reported the situation in the Security Zone and one of the subjects documented by the military observers was focused on the detaining of a resident of the Parata village, Gurie Popa, at the peacekeeping post No 9-right (bridge across Dniester nearby the Vadul lui Voda town).
Moldova’s delegation deems as unacceptable such tense situations for citizens at the objects managed by the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.
Under this aspect, the sides decided the change of the internal instructions of the military, so that similar cases no longer occur.
According to the agenda, the participants in the meeting continued earlier initiated discussions on the abusive setting by the Transnistrian power wielding structures of new posts which obstruct the free movement in the Security Zone.
The Moldovan delegation’s position on this issue remains constant: withdrawal of the illegal posts.
The sides analyzed the proposals made to overcome this blockage emerged; yet, no consensus was reached and the subject’s consideration was postponed for the 22 September.
