Salaries of staff in medical, sanitary institutions to be increased from 1 October 2022

Chisinau, 16 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the Law amending 2022 compulsory healthcare insurance funds law were published in today's issue of the Official Journal.

The amended law sees revenues worth 12.559 billion lei, up by 186 million lei than the approved plan. The volume of expenses was increased by 215 million lei and will amount to 12.833 billion lei.

The increase in FAOAM expenses is determined by the increase in the salaries of the staff in medical and sanitary institutions included in the system of compulsory medical assistance insurance, starting from 1 October 2022, as well as by the increase in the fund for payment of medical and pharmaceutical services.

Thus, the AOAM funds will have a deficit of 274 million lei, up by 29 million lei than the approved plan. The deficit will be covered from the balance of the financial means at the beginning of the year.
