Moldovan, Turkish officials broach cooperation

Chisinau, 16 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu had a meeting today with Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Şentop.

According to the presidential press service, the discussion focused on Moldovan-Turkish bilateral relations, the prospects for cooperation in various fields and the impact of the war in Ukraine on the region.

The head of state thanked for the humanitarian aid provided by the Turkish authorities in overcoming the refugee crisis in Ukraine, as well as for the financial and technical support provided over the years by the TIKA.

Maia Sandu pointed out that Moldova is interested in boosting trade exchanges and drawing investments, as well as strengthening cooperation in the energy sector.
