Moldovan president to participate in United Nations General Assembly

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu will participate in more international events on the days to come, the presidential press service has reported.

On 18 and 19 September, the head of state will participate in the funerals of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II in London, thus paying her homage on behalf of all Moldova’s citizens.

On 20 and 21 September, the Moldovan president will be in New York, at the United Nations General Assembly - the annual event which brings for discussion subjects of global interest. In the context of the visit to the UN, the head of state will take part in several events in the education sector and will have more bilateral meetings.

On the way home, President Maia Sandu will pay a working visit to Berlin, where she will meet Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Svenja Schulze, members of the Bundestag and representatives of the business sector from this country.
