Embassy of Kazakhstan in Moldova donates consignment of books to National Library

Chisinau, 20 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Chisinau donated a consignment of books, which contains over 30 titles, to the National Library (BNRM) today.
According to BNRM director Elena Pintilei, the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Moldova and Kazakhstan was marked through this event. ‘’This first donation, which represents art albums, encyclopedias, as well as classical and contemporary literature, is the beginning for the inauguration of the ABAI Culture Centre at the National Library, which will promote the history, culture, education and geography of this country in Moldova,’’ Pintilei said.
For his part, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Moldova Almat Aidarbekov stressed that this donation would allow the library’s users deepening their knowledge in the fields of history, civilization, popular traditions, architecture, art and culture of Kazakhstan. ‘’These documents will be meant both for the wide public and the researchers and people interested and will contribute to a more fruitful cooperation, deepening of the relations between our peoples,’’ the diplomat said.
The diplomatic relations between Moldova and Kazakhstan were established on 16 September 1992. The volume of the bilateral trade in 2021 stood at about 30 million dollars (the exports amounted to 14 million dollars and the imports – to about 16 million dollars). The bilateral legal framework includes 35 documents which regulate the Moldovan-Kazakh cooperation in various sectors.
