New version of commodity coding system to be implemented in Moldova

Chisinau, 21 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Moldova will implement the new version of the automated commodity description and coding system. A draft law in this regard was approved today by the parliamentary committee on economy, budget and finance.

The changes proposed in order to connect the nomenclature do not refer to the customs duties component, but only to the tariff codes. Among the main positions that will undergo changes are some categories of fish, oils, some chemical products, those that include vaccines against the coronavirus, some types of wood, glass fibers, machines and appliances, electrical equipment and their parts, aircraft, objects of art, collectibles or antiques, etc.

The new version of system will enter into force in 2023.
