Eight people to run for three mayoral terms in new local elections

Chisinau, 21 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Eight people will run for the three mayoral mandates in the new local elections on 16 October.

According to the Central Electoral Commission, the constituency electoral councils in Sălcuța village (Căuşeni district) and Braniște village (Râșcani district) each registered three candidates, and two candidates were registered for the position of the mayor in Ialpujeni village (Cimișlia district). According to the gender criterion, three candidates are women and five are men.

At the same time, a registration file of an independent candidate was submitted in Braniște village, but he returned the subscription lists without requesting registration in the race.

In the three localities, the candidates were nominated by six political parties.
