Moldovan sculptor marks 60th birthday anniversary

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/ - A well-known sculptor, laureate of national and international prizes Valentin Vartosu turns 60 years today.
Valentin Vartosu was born in the Slobozia-Cremene village, northern Soroca district, in 1962. In 1977-1981, he studied at the Constructions College from Chisinau, architecture section. Vartosu debuted with a sculptural portrait, Mihail Ivanovici, in 1990. He participated in numerous group exhibitions organized in Moldova and in other countries.
Sculptor Valentin Vartosu is the author of memorial crosses in the memory of the victims of the Soviet regime, of memorial plaques set in public places.
The sculptor’s works are preserved in public and private collections of Moldova and from abroad. Valentin Vartosu was awarded more prizes at national and international exhibitions and contests. He is member of the Union of Fine Artists from Moldova, International Association of Visual Artists.
