Moldovan, Kazakh president discuss bilateral cooperation for the first time

Chisinau, 21 September /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu had a meeting with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the United Nations headquarters in New York on 20 September. The two heads of state discussed subjects of common interest on the bilateral agenda, the presidential press service has reported.
Maia Sandu said that Moldova was open for a wider cooperation with Kazakhstan in the economic, energy and agricultural sector. She also welcomed Kazakhstan’s decision to deepen the bilateral relations, through the transformation of the Chisinau-based diplomatic mission from General Consulate into Embassy.
