Moldovan cabinet to hold meeting in Cahul city

Chisinau, 22 September /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet will hold its meeting in the southern Cahul city on 23 September. Sixteen subjects are on the agenda, including decisions of major importance for the residents from south Moldova, as well as for the entire country, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The cabinet members will consider several draft laws which see the transmission of buildings from the Cahul city to the management of local authorities. They will also express their opinion on the construction in Cahul of a monument in the memory of the Stalinist deportations and a bust to poet Andrei Ciurunga.
The meeting’s agenda also comprises a draft government decision on the providing of a one-off financial assistance to the beneficiaries of pensions and state social allocations, as well as a regulation on the way the social benefit is established and paid. Also, the cabinet of ministers will approve the half-annual report on the fulfillment of the national public budget and its components for 2022, as well as the European Moldova 2030 national development strategy.
Following the meeting, Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita will participate in a ceremony on the inauguration of the renovated maternity hospital at the Cahul district hospital. A donation of modern equipment, provided by the U.S. government and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), will be made at the event. Subsequently, the prime minister will visit the Free Economic Subzone and the Business Incubator from the Cahul city.
