PhD students to get increased scholarships

Chisinau, 23 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Starting from 1 October 2022, PhD students will receive increased scholarships. The government approved a decision in this respect today, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
Thus, scholarships for first-year PhD students will be 1,430 lei, instead of 1,330 lei, and for second-year students - 1,570 lei. At the same time, by 200 lei will increase the scholarships of the third- year students. They will receive 1,720 lei monthly.
Also, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the Admission plan to doctoral studies for the academic year 2022-2023. It sees 254 doctoral grants financed from the state budget, distributed among six scientific fields, as follows: natural sciences - 17 grants, engineering sciences and technologies - 27, medical sciences - 70, agricultural sciences - 12, social sciences and economics - 86 and humanities - 42.
Seven doctoral grants will be offered to foreign citizens, under the international treaties to which the Republic of Moldova is a party.
