Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet approved the European Moldova 2030 National Development Strategy at a today’s meeting in Cahul. The document represents the strategic vision for the country’s development in the next seven years, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The government is set to carry out emblematic projects, which will fundamentally change the quality of life and will speed up the economy’s development. Among them, there are the Chisinau-Iasi motor highway and other at least five road bridges between Moldova and Romania in Giurgiulesti, Leova, Cantemir, Ungheni and Nisporeni; two regional hospitals in Balti and Cahul; modern district medical institutions; model schools and lyceums in all pole cities; new or rehabilitated sewerage systems and water-purifying stations in each settlement with over 15,000 residents.
Under the Strategy, decision-makers will ensure the implementation of policies aimed at development, which support the productive activities, creation of decent jobs, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, growth of the small- and medium-sized enterprises, including through access to financial services.
„ The European Moldova 2030 Strategy is a visionary document, but with concrete and realizable actions, which is anchored in programmes on financing planned for Moldova in the next years,’’ Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita said.
In July-August 2022, the draft Strategy was publicly consulted. The State Chancellery received and analyzed over 300 proposals. On the next period, the Strategy will be discussed and submitted to Moldova’s parliament for adoption.
