Chisinau, 23 September /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita has paid a visit to the Cahul Business Incubator, the presidential press service has reported.

Through the public institution set up in 2017, the incubated companies and potential entrepreneurs receive consultancy for developing business, as well as get possibility to benefit from working room or IT infrastructure to launch of startups, for a period of three months.

The PM made a tour of the incubator’s headquarters and discussed with residents the difficulties they face.

„From discussions I had with several entrepreneurs from southern Moldova, I made sure that it is badly necessary for us to improve the living conditions, infrastructure, health and education services, in order to persuade the people to remain at home. We should put the assets unused so far into the economic circulation. We also pilot now the multifunctional industrial platforms which will be attractive in regions, and in next October the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA) will launch a new programme – Digital innovations and technological startups. I am happy that, despite all difficulties, extraordinary things are made at the Cahul business incubator, especially as regards the economic education of the young generation,’’ PM Natalia Gavrilita said in her discussions with Incubator’s residents.

The prime minister also referred to the opportunities of the new governmental mechanism of financing the business environment, FACEM, through which the small- and medium-sized enterprises from Moldova will have access to long-term financing, to a crediting fund in preferential conditions. Another programme, backed by ODA, is meant to support the business through the programme on upgrading and energy efficiency, with a component of financing in advance of photovoltaic installations.

„We dedicated this month to economy and we had a string of events, during which we interacted with business people. Recently, along with ODA, we launched the FACEM fund, meant to provide investment resources at advantageous interests. We everybody go through a period with much uncertainty and we are aware that more economic predictability and stability is needed, in order to be able to administer a business. Therefore, we want to create a friendlier environment for the small companies and help them grow,’’ the prime minister added.

Presently, 22 companies work at the Incubator, with diverse types of activity, such as the creative industry, agriculture, projects for energy efficiency, production of clothes, early education, etc.
