Moldovan president meets more heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Chisinau

Chisinau, 26 September /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with more ambassadors accredited in Moldova, the presidential press service has reported.
The discussions were focused on the economic and security challenges faced by Moldova and the entire region in the wake of the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
President Maia Sandu thanked the partner countries for the financial and humanitarian support Moldova had benefited from since the beginning of the war and which helped us manage the crisis of refugees from the neighbor country.
The head of state emphasized the importance of the European countries’ political support, as well as the personal effort made by the ambassadors accredited in the country, so that Moldova gets the status of country candidate for accession to EU.
Maia Sandu stressed that the European integration was the goal towards which all efforts of the Moldovan authorities were presently directed. She also said that decision-makers worked on the carrying out of the reforms in the sectors highlighted in the European Commission’s opinion.
