Over 14,000 people called for ambulance last week

Chisinau, 27 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- Last week emergency medical assistance teams provided first medical aid to more than 14,059 people, including 1,280 children.
According to the National Center for Pre-hospital Emergency Medical Care (CNAMUP), after providing pre-hospital medical aid, 5,565 patients, of which 4,285 adults and 1,280 children, were transported to hospitals for investigations and treatment.
During the week, 3,306 cardiovascular emergencies, 1,979 respiratory emergencies, 1,887 neurological pathologies and 1,359 traumatological emergencies were registered.
Emergency doctors intervened in 199 patients with cerebral vascular accidents, 152 with infectious diseases, 41 with poisoning, 40 with myocardial infarction and 27 patients with burns.
At the same time, the emergency medical assistance teams provided help for 12 people with drug poisoning and six patients, who showed acute allergic reactions up to anaphylactic shock from bee stings. During the same period, four mushroom poisonings and the same number of carbon monoxide poisonings were reported.
