Competition for selecting locality to hold Youth Capital 2023 title launched

Chisinau, 27 Sep. /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) today launched a competition for selecting the locality that will hold the Youth Capital 2023 title.

According to the MEC, the youth activities of the local public authority, national and local NGOs, international organizations, as well as the central public authorities are to be involved in the program during one year. "The development of localities through the involvement of young people and turning to good account their potential is a priority of the Government. Through the program, the Ministry of Education and Research supports young people - the country's strategic resource, to highlight the ambition, professionalism, enthusiasm of young people, but especially to support young people's initiatives, achieving rapprochement with the local public administration and developing projects for society", a press release of the MEC reads.

Eligible for application to the Program are the local public administration authorities of the first level, including those in Gagauzia and the local public administration authorities of the second level set up on the territory of the municipality, except for Chisinau municipality and the local public administration authorities that have held the Youth Capital title the last three years from the edition for which the application file is submitted.

For the implementation of the program, MEC will earmark about 1 million lei (approximately 50 thousand euros) and will provide methodological and logistical support. The file can be submitted online to the e-mail [email protected] or [email protected] by 14 November.

Sipoteni village, Călărași district, has got the Youth Capital title in 2020 -2021, and in 2022, it was held by Stefan Voda.
