Moldovan cabinet increases volume of financial means allocated for road fund for 2022

Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - The government today approved amendments to the programme on the distribution of road fund’s financial means for the national public roads for 2022. The amendments see the increase in the volume of financial means for the road fund by 325.5 million lei; presently, its value is 1.8 billion lei. At the same time, the cabinet approved the redistribution of the means of the fund for certain works of maintaining national roads, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

Thus, the volume of financial means for the works of maintenance of the national public roads grew up to 235.5 million lei. 

Decision-makers will allocate additionally 75.2 million lei for the reconstruction, repair of national public roads and engineering constructions, due to the insufficiency of the turning to account of the sums initially allocated in the aforementioned programme and namely:   

* decrease in the sums allocated, given the non-assimilation of the earlier values, considering the disturbance of the logistic chains of import of construction materials – 171.8 million lei;

* increase in the value of contracts, in the context of the updating of the prices for the construction materials – 97.1 lei;

* additional inclusion, according to a decision by the Commission for Emergency Situations, of a sum of 150 million lei for 2022 for the object, access road to the Leova-Bumbata bridge.   

Also, the sum was increased by 8.4 million lei for the carrying out of the works of designing, evaluation or roads and purchasing grounds and the value for buying equipment grew by 6.3 million lei.

The amendments made will contribute to the efficient use and in full volume of the financial means earmarked for the road fund in 2022.
