Chisinau, 29 September /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition of children’s drawings, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Moldova and China, today was inaugurated at the Ion Creanga National Library for Children from Chisinau.
Attending the event were China’s Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Moldova Yan Wenbin, the director of the Confucius Institute at the Free International University of Moldova (ULIM), Wang Yifeng, representatives of Moldova’s Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry and Culture Ministry.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the director of the aforementioned library, Eugenia Bulat, said the exhibition comprised 20 drawings of prizewinners.
”Certainly, those who deserve most of all our gratitude are our pupils from Moldova and China. You showed your passion, intelligence and talent through the works exhibited here and this fact impressed me deeply and I feel that the friendship between the two peoples is developing in an active rhythm. I am happy that we have so many successors, who are to convey this friendship relation. To promote the institutionalization of the friendly changes between young Chinese and Moldovan people, taking advantage of this occasion, the Embassy of China and the National Library for Children ruled to set up a Chinese Culture Centre for Children and Teenagers at the headquarters of the Library. We hope that this centre will become a basis for friendly exchanges between young people from our countries. And the Embassy will continue providing support and assistance to this centre, so that it works better and better,’’ the Chinese diplomat said.
The exhibition will be open during two weeks.
