National premiere of CARBON movie took place at National Palace

Chisinau, Oct. 5 /MOLDPRES/- National premiere of the film CARBON, directed by Ion Borș, took place yesterday evening at the Nicolae Sulac National Palace. It was projected on the largest cinema screen ever installed in the Republic of Moldova - about 90 square meters. Especially for this event, the hall of the National Palace was transformed into a projection hall.
Attending the event were Speaker Igor Grosu, Minister of Culture Sergiu Prodan, film actors, production team, people of culture and art. Among those present was Romanian actor Ion Vântu, who played one of the main roles in this film.
Grosu said that the film is an original one, well made, it deals with a very current subject, because it is about some conflagrations, some tragedies, including the war on the Dniester in the spring - summer of 1992.
Among the actors who are part of the cast are Dumitru Roman, Ion Vântu, Igor Caras-Romanov, Adriana Bîtcă, Constantin Haret and Ion Coșeru. Filming lasted 36 days and took place in August - October 2020.
CARBON was submitted by the Selection Committee of the Republic of Moldova for the Oscars 2023, in the Best Foreign Film category. The world premiere took place on 23 September at the International Film Festival in San Sebastian, Spain.
