Chisinau, 5 October /MOLDPRES/ - The Administrative Board of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) today approved the price for electric energy supplied by the central provider of electric energy in quantum of 4.33 lei/KWhour (without value added tax), which is by 1.09 lei/KWhour more against the price in force.
According to the quoted source, the factors which caused the increase in price are: enforcement of the price for electric energy estimated to be purchased from the Termoelectrica stock company in quantum of 4.54 lei/KWhour, which is by 1.19 lei/KWhour more than the price in force; enforcement of the price for electric energy estimated to be purchased from the North Thermal Electric Power Station (CET Nord) in quantum of 4.57 lei/KWhour, which is by 1.46 lei/KWhour higher than the price in force.
Thus, the approval of the regulated supply price in a quantum of 4.33 lei KWhour is aimed at ensuring the economic viability of the central energy supplier and at strengthening its financial capacities, in order to fulfill the obligations to buy electric energy produced by local sources.
According to economic experts, any increases of tariff at the Energocom stock company might subsequently be reflected in the tariff of the end consumers.
